The reason I don't like to watch is because of the "people" sitting behind the president. Last year Nancy Pelosi was like a "jack-in-a-box" continually standing and applauding, up and down, up and down. Good golly Miss Molly, the look on her face made me sick to watch. And now we will have John Boehner and he will scowl at each remark and stand up for very little of what is said. I would rather just hear the synopsis after the speech is over.
Ok, I did watch, (what else was on?)....the "background people" did a good job of listening to the speech. Neither one of them got overly excited or did they go to sleep. I especially liked the "re-cap" after the speech with Paul Ryan. He too said we all need to work together to get the job done. There is too much "stay the line" politics going on.

ReplyDeleteI won't watch..I believe anything he says is insincere...and if he seems to be moving to the center...that is just a front.
ReplyDeleteNot, I.... Ohio State basketball is on... the undefeated streak may soon be over. Plus I am losing faith in our officials.
